Apple’s New iPad Pro Is An Incredible Tablet With One Major Shortcoming

Apple’s new iPad Pro definitely outshines the competition but if you are desiring to use it like a computer, don’t do it.  It will only frustrate you, says, Patrick Lucas Austin, reviewer of Apple products.

Never-the-less, it’s an incredible device, he says. Here are a few of the many features that make it far and above the competition!  Keep in mind that though the iPad Pro is pulling out all the stops as far as hardware, the software needs serious improvement in versatility that you are used to on your computer

The iPad Pro now has flat band metal wrapping around the entire device and doubles as a cellular antenna; made changes in speaker locations; has incredible high-resolution displays for both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models with rounded corners; sports a front-facing True Depth camera enabling portrait mode photography and Face ID for secure logins; and it has Animogi!

It comes with a more versatile and reversible USB-C port like the ones on MacBooks, which means it will be easier to connect to other USB-C devices with a single cable. This same port can also be used to charge other devices.

An upgraded version of Apple’s A12X Bionic chip, used in the iPhone XS, is inside the iPad Pro making it a more powerful graphics processor with blazing fast speed and pretty much non-existent lag when switching apps.

The Apple Pencil has also been updated in aesthetics, usage, easy storage and provides wireless charging when magnetically attached. It has a touch sensitive area so you can switch between brushes and tools making it loads of fun when it comes to drawing, painting, writing and annotating.

So much power is great but the operating system that runs the iPad Pro is far from a proper replacement for a desktop OS.

Austin says, that if you are doing a lot of writing, keep your laptop nearby because the iPad Pro is inconsistent when it comes to the handling of publishing systems. “Texts would disappear, changes would go unsaved, etc,” he says from the first-hand experience, “in spite of the fact that it is a stellar device.”

Apple’s cost for iPad Pro is the lowest on the market yet it features all that you will love about a tablet and more at a reasonable price.

“It supports the first-generation Apple Pencil, has a perfectly sized 9.7-inch Retina display, and runs all the apps youll need to get your photo editing and music production done. The iPad Pro is capable of many things, but the software is holding it back from its true potential,” reports Austin.
